Welcome to versatile-designs.com a collection of work by Victoria Smith in both editorial and graphic design. Upon leaving Texas in June 2010 Victoria decided to close out the graphic design company and go back to creative work full time as a freelance / contract designer and freelance writer.
This site serves as an online portfolio for the works of Victoria Smith. She began her graphic design work in early 1999 when a family member brought a photograph to be restored. While attending Southwest Tennessee Community College she would learn just how to make images appear as works of art through the basis of Adobe & Macromedia software.
In 2004 she moved to San Angelo Texas to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a focus on public relations. She would fulfill some 50 hours toward her degree as a part time student before withdrawing to focus on a growing graphic design career and a new venture in the magazine industry.
All of the designs shown on this site are a collaboration of FAVORITE works done over a 10-year period.
Also shown are editorial works she did while she owned Texas Fight News Magazine a product of Versatile Designs. This was a mixed martial arts publication for the state of Texas. After 12 issues the growth of the publication haulted and she stopped putting out the magazine in March 2010.
But this is not all. In June 2010 after getting married and beginning the next chapter, Victoria and her husband moved back to Memphis, Tenn. and she is now ready to work FULL TIME. Creative people need other creative people to be inspired and successful.
Getting started she has signed on to participate once again with Alpha Beta Gamma, Chi Epsilon Chapter at Southwest Tennessee Community College performing leadership guidance, community service and sharing on a voluteer basis.
